Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions about taking a cottage holiday with us:

How can I pay for my holiday?
Payment should be made by UK cheque, cash, postal order, Eurocheque or Bank Transfer in Pounds Sterling.

What is the amount I have to pay at the time of booking?
If booking within 8 weeks of your holiday start date, you will need to pay the amount in full. Otherwise a deposit (non-returnable) of 50% of the total booking is required.

When is the final balance due?
If booking within 8 weeks of your holiday start date, you are required to pay the amount in full. Otherwise the balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday start date.

Do you accept Short Breaks? When can I book a Short Break?
Short Breaks are accepted subject to availability. Where accepted, 2 and 3 night short breaks start on a Friday , 4 night short breaks start on a Monday. Short Breaks may be booked at any time in advance, with the exception of high season, when they can only be booked within 10 days of arrival.

When will I receive my booking confirmation?
We will acknowledge availability and provisional booking within 48 hours, usually be email or phone, then on receipt of your payment (deposit or full amount) we will send your booking confirmation to you, either by email or post, usually within 7-10 working days.The information we send will include the name and phone number of your holiday contact, and will tell you when you must pay the remaining cost of your holiday. Upon receipt of the balance of your payment we will send you your travel directions.

How long are provisional bookings valid for?
We will hold a provisional booking for up to 7 days whilst awaiting receipt of your payment. Bookings from outside of the UK will be held for 10 days. If payment has not been received in this time then the dates will be released.

Can I take a dog?
We welcome up to 2 dogs providing that they are well behaved. All that we ask is that you respect a few simple, common sense requests:

Keep your dog off the furniture.
Exercise your dog outside the garden and always on a leash.
Do not leave your dog unattended in the property.
Keep your dog under control at all times.

Please note that a charge of £35 is made per week or part week for each dog you bring.

What is provided in the cottage?
As a self-catering cottage, you will find most of the standard appliances you would expect to have at home. For a full list please click on the facilities page. Linen is also included.

Can we take extra people?
Yes, as long as it is a maximum of four persons. Please advise us of any changes by telephone or contact us. before your stay commences. You can not sub let the cottage.

What time can I arrive?
You can arrive anytime between 1700 hrs and 1900 hrs on the start date of your holiday unless otherwise arranged.

What time must I vacate?
To allow us to prepare for incoming guests it is politely ask that you vacate the cottage by 1000 hrs on the day of your departure.

Is linen and towels provided?
The cottage is supplied with pillows and bed linen and duvets. Towels are not included.

Can you tell me anything about parking arrangements?
Adequate car parking space is available for two vehicles immediately adjacent to the cottage.

Is the cost of electricity and heating oil included in the price?
Electricity is included in the price for reasonable use only, however we reserve right to make a charge if we deem usage to be unreasonable. Oil usage will be charged at the end of your stay. (Average usage during winter months is £2.50 per day).

Can I smoke in the cottage?
No, the cottage is a non smoking property.
